Laowa's 4th generation Probe Lens family adds two remarkable features: Ultra Wide 110.5° angle of view and an extensive 2.3X Zoom capability, the largest range on the market. In close collaboration with Venus Optics, the Gates PZA-80 adapts these remarkable lenses to our cinema-caliber underwater systems, creating a seamless underwater probe system.
The PZA-80 Adapter also supports both 15-35 T12 and 15-24 T8 Probe Zoom models with either straight, 35° or 90° barrels. This means versatile, opportunistic adaptability to varying subjects and fresh new perspectives in underwater macro imaging.
Like it's predecessors Pro2be and Periprobe, the Laowa Zoom Probe lenses are 35mm full fame, and a fast T8 iris on the 15-24 version. Truly impressive image quality is achieved with Gates cinema-caliber systems like PRO RAPTOR, ALEXA 35, and DEEP WEAPON-RAPTOR.
The PZA-80 kit includes a custom Stackable Port Ring Adapter with innovative sealing design around the Probe Zoom lens barrel, plus 2 custom 3D-printed adapter gears to align focus, iris and zoom with the housing controls.
