Building on the legacy 24mm Probe and Periprobe lenses, Laowa unveils the Pro2be Macro Lens, featuring interchangeable direct and 35° versions that rotate 360° along their axis, enabling a broad range of creative angles. With an 85° field of view and an exceptional 4mm close-focus distance, the Pro2be lens paired with the Gates PLA2-80 adapter forms a distinctive, versatile, and highly adaptable underwater macro imaging solution.
The Laowa Pro2be is FF 35mm. For underwater work, T8 iris is remarkably fast for probe lenses designs. With the Laowa front element factory-sealed, the lens probe extends over 10in / 250mm from the housing seal. Through close collaboration with Venus Optics, the Pro2be + Gates PLA2-80 Adapter create a seamless system, allowing complete submersion of this unique lens, transforming 'Bug-Eye' into 'Goby Eye' imaging.
The PLA2-80 kit includes a custom Stackable Port Ring adapter with innovative sealing design around the Pro2be lens barrel, plus 2 custom 3D-printed adapter gears to align focus and iris with the housing controls.
