Described as 'Weird but Genius', the Laowa 24mm Probe lens offers a truly unique 'Bug-Eye' perspective for macro imaging. A long, tubular barrel with tiny lens tip can extend into the smallest of spaces, yet provide a remarkable 84° FOV, 2:1 magnification, and infinity focus. Further, the Laowa 24mm Macro covers 35mm full frame *and* large format sensors like RED Monstro and ARRI LF from a standard Canon or Nikon mount. In collaboration with Venus Optics, the Gates MLA60 and MLA80 Probe Lens Adapters allow full submersion of this distinctive lens, turning 'Bug-Eye' into 'Goby Eye' underwater imaging. The MLA60 / MLA80 kits include two custom 3D printed adapter gears to map focus / iris to the housing controls, and a custom Stackable Port Ring adapter to seal around the Laowa lens barrel. Since the Laowa front element is factory sealed, it leaves the Laowa lens probe extending a full 7" / 178mm from the housing seal. An optional cable provides switched power to the built-in LED ring light, too.
