"With hectic two week schedules I can’t afford using equipment that can fail in fact I don’t even have time for proper maintenance. My Gates housing takes my abuse and keeps on going. No missed shots from electric buttons failing or the need to carry around several spare handles means I will only visit UnderWater Destinations with Gates"

“With over 100 hours of underwater use of my Gates Housing I assure you that the simple yet rugged design works flawless. You really have complete control of so many camera features without ever needing to open the housing. One of the best facts about the Gates Housing is that it allows me to use my camera LCD instead of spending hundreds like so many other housings require.”

"I've used a Gates housing for my Sony 3-chip camera for two recent commercial productions and have been very pleased with its performance. In the past year and a half I filmed a video for Viking dry suits and also produced our own, California Lobster Diving, the video, released on DVD. Currently, we're filming Dry Suit Diving in Depth. I've been extremely happy with the finish, balance, controls, and reliability of my Gates system."

"The quality, engineering, balance and usability of my Gates housing (VX2000) is superb. That and their great customer service is a winning combination."

"We chose a Gates housing to document underwater activities by researchers at HARBOR BRANCH. The reliabiliity of manual controls was an important consideration, as working with our research vessels and submersibles takes us far from shore, where there are no repair facilities, delivery service or other such conveniences. I have enjoyed working behind the camera in our Gates housing from the Galapagos to the Gulf of Maine. C6, an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin successfully rehabed at HARBOR BRANCH after being attacked by sharks looks like he enjoys being in front of the camera at least as much. "A hard schedule of shooting in Thailand and Burma demands a strong, reliable housing for my VX2000, with no electronic controls to malfunction in the field.

Having been disappointed with housings from high-profile manufacturers, the Gates VX2000 housing was exactly what I was looking for. It's also given me great results and never let me down. Gates are also the most helpful of any manufacturer I've dealt with.”
